In 2014, I started a radon mitigation business because I saw a need in our communities to provide solutions and bring awareness to the dangers of radon gas. Almost a decade later, the business is strong and we have installed nearly 2000 systems in homes, churches and business in Wisconsin and Illinois. Still, I feel there is more to do, and felt now was the right time to expand our reach. Reducing the risk of radon-induced lung cancer deaths is still my driving force and I look forward to the new journey.

Wisconsin and Illinois are wonderful places to live, but when you spend a lot of hours indoors it can be very hazardous to you and your family's health. In the winter the ground freezes and locks radon laden soil gases deep below the surface of the earth, allowing for a higher concentration of radon to enter your home. Radon is always a threat regardless of what season it is. Unfortunately, southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois along with much of the geographic area of both states, have elevated radon levels. The average outdoor radon levels in the U.S. are 0.4 pCi/L (picocuries/liter) and 1.3 pCi/L indoors. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) says that you should consider installing a mitigation system if levels are above 2pCi/L. At the bottom of this page you will see a map that can help you determine the estimated levels in your area. It does not show you the levels inside of your home, therefore it is imperative to have a test conducted by a qualified professional.
